Walking

Walking is the best way to make a short journey. Just 30 minutes a day will keep you fit, keep your heart healthy, and best of all costs nothing.

In the UK people travel by car for 18% of all trips which are under one mile, and for 61% of all trips under two miles.

Walking can easily be built in to your daily routine. Take time to walk to local shops or park your car further away from your destination. You can even just use the stairs instead of the lift! Lunchtime walks are a great way to beat stress and explore your surroundings.
